Profiling
For information on the extent to which we analyse the behaviour of website visitors using pseudonymised user profiles, please refer to the information below on the display, tracking, remarketing and web analytics technologies used.
Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for Web Analytics
If you have given your consent, Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter “Google”), is used on this website.
Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these websites, your IP address is first shortened by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://policies.google.com/?hl=de.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide the website operator with other services relating to website and internet usage.
The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g. User ID) or advertising IDs is automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has expired is automatically deleted once a month.
Google Analytics Google Signals
As part of Google Analytics, we use the Google Signals extension, a service that enables so-called “cross-device tracking”, i.e. tracking across different devices used by a user.
For this purpose, Google uses data from users who are logged into a Google service while visiting our websites and who have activated the “personalised advertising” option in their Google Account settings, which can be deactivated by the user at any time.
The information retrieved in this way may include the user’s location, search history, YouTube history and data from websites that work with Google, and is used to provide aggregated and anonymised insights into users’ cross-device behaviour.
Google Signals is used exclusively with IP anonymisation enabled. Google does not provide us with specific user profiles, but only statistics based on logins and device types for all users who were logged into a Google Account and completed a conversion.
Further information on Google’s terms of use and privacy principles is available at: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/
We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google for the use of Google Signals, ensuring that Google processes the personal data of visitors to our website only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
Withdrawal of Consent
You can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our website by clicking the relevant link. An opt-out cookie will then be installed on your device. This prevents Google Analytics from collecting data for this website and this browser in the future, for as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.
You may also prevent cookies from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You may also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website, including your IP address, by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available via the relevant link: Browser Add-on for Disabling Google Analytics.
12. Advertising via Marketing Networks
Google AdWords Remarketing
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The operator of the Google AdWords services is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
If you reach our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google AdWords places a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google.
If the user visits certain pages of our website while the cookie is still valid, we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to that page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers.
The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are informed of the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a page containing a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
Further information about data processing by Google can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can also change your personal privacy settings in Google’s Privacy Center.
Withdrawal of Consent
The provider currently does not offer a simple option to opt out or block data transmission.
If you wish to prevent your activities on our website from being tracked, please withdraw your consent in the cookie consent tool for the relevant cookie category or for all technically non-essential cookies and data transmissions.
In this case, however, you may not be able to use our website or may only be able to use it to a limited extent.
Use of Google Remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. The operator of Google Remarketing services is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter “Google”).
The function is used to present website visitors with interest-based advertisements within the Google advertising network.
A so-called “cookie” is stored in the website visitor’s browser, enabling the visitor to be recognised when they access websites belonging to Google’s advertising network.
On these websites, visitors may be shown advertisements relating to content they previously accessed on websites that use Google’s remarketing function.
13. Social Media Plugins
Use of social plugins from Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest using the Shariff solution.
Social buttons from social networks are used on our website.
To improve the protection of your data when visiting our website, these buttons are not integrated without restriction as plugins, but are instead incorporated into the page only using an HTML link.
This integration ensures that when you access a page on our website containing such buttons, no connection is initially established with the servers of the provider of the respective social network.
If you click on one of the buttons, a new browser window opens and accesses the page of the respective service provider, where you can, for example, use the Like or Share button, where applicable after entering your login details.
For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by the providers on their websites, as well as contact options, your rights in this regard and settings available to protect your privacy, please refer to the providers’ privacy policies:
http://www.facebook.com/policy.php
https://about.pinterest.com/de/privacy-policy
14. Sending Review Reminders by Email
If you have given us your express consent during or after your order, we will use your email address to remind you to submit a review of your order using the review system employed by us.
This consent may be withdrawn at any time by sending a message using the contact details described below.
15. Your Rights
You have the right to obtain information free of charge about the personal data we have stored about you and, where applicable, the right to rectification, restriction of processing, data portability or deletion of this data.
If you have any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data, requests for information, rectification, blocking or, where applicable, deletion of data, as well as the withdrawal of consent granted or objection to a particular use of data, please contact us directly using the contact details stated above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in Germany.
16. Right to Object
Where we process personal data as described above in order to safeguard our legitimate interests, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests, you may object to such processing with effect for the future.
If processing is carried out for direct marketing purposes, you may exercise this right at any time as described above.
Where processing is carried out for other purposes, you only have a right to object if there are grounds arising from your particular situation.
After you exercise your right to object, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or where processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
This does not apply where processing is carried out for direct marketing purposes. In that case, we will no longer process your personal data for this purpose.
17. Credit Check
We transmit your data (name, address and, where applicable, date of birth) for the purpose of carrying out a credit check and obtaining information to assess the risk of payment default on the basis of mathematical and statistical procedures using address data to:
infoscore Consumer Data GmbH Rheinstr. 99 76532 Baden-Baden Germany
The legal bases for these transfers are Article 6(1)(b) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Transfers based on these provisions may only take place insofar as this is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or third parties and where such interests are not overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject requiring the protection of personal data.
Detailed information on ICD within the meaning of Art. 14 of the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), i.e. information about the purpose of the business, purposes of data storage, recipients of the data, the right to self-disclosure, entitlement to deletion, etc., can be found in the attachment or at the following link:
informationsblatt-art-14.pdf (experian.de)
18. Cooperation Between Various Mail-Order Companies (analytics union)
As a participant in analytics union, a cooperation between various distance-selling companies, we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for our own marketing activities as well as for third-party marketing activities.
Your data is initially analysed on a pseudonymised basis by selected and reliable service providers together with data from other participating companies in order to identify relevant marketing activities for you and to identify potentially interested new customers.
Further information is available at info.analyticsunion.de or from:
CUSTOMY GmbH & Co. KG Klarissengasse 4 48143 Münster Germany
The involvement of trusted service providers, the application of special encryption procedures and the conclusion of an arrangement between joint controllers pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR ensure that the data protection requirements of the GDPR are met.
You may object to the use of your data for these purposes directly to us or, more simply, via the website info.analyticsunion.de in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR.
In the event of an objection, your name and address will continue to be stored in pseudonymised form by the selected service providers in order to protect your rights and ensure that you do not receive unwanted advertising in the future or that your data is no longer processed for these purposes.
If, in addition to your objection, you expressly request the complete deletion of this pseudonymised data, it can no longer be ensured that you will be excluded from future marketing activities, since the corresponding protective matching process against the pseudonymised data record created for this purpose will then no longer be possible.
You may exercise all other data subject rights arising from the GDPR, in particular your rights to access, rectification, deletion and data portability, directly against us. We will then process your request with the assistance of our cooperation partners.
In accordance with Art. 11(1) GDPR, the possibility of identifying you on the basis of data relating to you will only be maintained for as long as necessary for the purpose of the respective data processing.
Due to the complex encryption procedures, it is therefore possible that your data can subsequently no longer be linked to your identity.
In this case, the rights of data subjects under Articles 15–20 GDPR can only be exercised if you provide additional information enabling us or our cooperation partners to identify you unambiguously.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services in the Privacy Policy, for example when introducing new services.
The new Privacy Policy will then apply to your next visit.
